Welcome
Hello, and
welcome to the Via Cornwall Newsletter.
Sea Glass Jewellery
I’d
like to start by introducing you to a new collection of
really beautiful jewellery, handmade in Carbis Bay by Chloe
Williams. Chloe creates her individual pieces of jewellery
from glass washed up on the Cornish shoreline, worn down to
smooth organic shapes. The sea glass is combined with
semi-precious stones, glass, vintage and recycled beads.
Because of the nature of the sea glass no two pieces washed
up are the same, making each piece of jewellery unique. The
jewellery can be seen in the recycled section of the website
or by following this link,

Knitted Freaks
Also I’d like to
welcome to the site, the strange and wonderful world of the
Knitted Freaks. Knitted Freaks are individual creations made
with love from re-used wool and carefully selected buttons
and adornments. Each one is a one-off, never to be repeated,
bundle of joy! This is a collection of handmade ‘freaks’
that are the creation of Katie Lennon from
Penzance. They are available as one off pieces with names such as Kenneth,
Buster and Patty and also as lovely brooches.

Art Cards
A new addition
to Via Cornwall is our collection of handmade Art Cards. It
is a collection of some really lovely images, from gorgeous
quirky illustrations by John Boddy to hand printed silk
cards by textile artist Louise Kirby.
Christmas Fair
After the
great success of Augusts Fine Food, Art and Craft Fair there
is going to be a Christmas Fair at Treriefe House near
Penzance. This is being held from the 21st to the
23rd November and Via Cornwall will again be
having a stall there.
Throughout the
weekend a large marquee will hold 40 stalls of quality art
and craft. The weekend will begin with a festive evening on
the Friday. There will be demonstrations, lanterns and
entertainment as well as an opening in the Art Gallery
within the old servant’s quarter showing a mixed exhibition
of local art.

Press
Mark Penrose’s
Copper fish were featured in the August edition of the
Cornwall Today magazine and we will have his fabulous copper
weather vanes available on the website soon. Our lovely
knitted water bottles were also seen in the Daily Express
and have been selling out fast, they’re a really great
stocking filler and Christmas is fast approaching!
Comments or Suggestions
If you have any
comments or suggestions about anything on the website or
would just like to say hello, I’d love to hear from you.
Thanks
Emily –
